Please purchase quality supplies

Many students don't want to spend money on the instructors' supply list but had rather practice on more inexpensive supplies- Please don't.

The truth of the matter is this- not all supplies are created equal

The most realistic example I can think of is this- you play golf. You don't want to waste money on expense balls, so you practice with plastic balls. You line up to tee off with a quality ball and guess what.... You can't play because you skimped on your equipment. Now all that has been a complete waste of time and money. It is not that you can't play golf, it is the equipment you chose to learn with.
