WATERCOLOR ON PAPER

I am a traditionalist when it comes to watercolor painting. I don’t use white paint because, to me, the challenge and joy are using the white of the paper to allow the creation to become alive.

WATERCOLOR ON CANVAS

Canvas is my favorite support. I began painting on canvas 25 years ago because watercolor handles so uniquely when I prepare the surface—it’s almost another medium. My style and techniques are the same on canvas as they are on paper—I don’t use white.
